The Belarussian National Technical University (BNTU) is a member of the international Consortium which is involved in implementation of the TEMPUS project “Development of Training Network for Improving Education in Energy Efficiency [ENERGY]” (Grant No. 530379-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-LV-TEMPUS-JP).
Project Coordinator - the Riga Technical University (Latvia).
Total cost of the Project – 84,444 Euros; it is stipulated that 25,616 Euros will be allocated for equipment procurement.
The Project will be carried out by the staff of UNESCO Chair «Energy Conservation and Renewable Energies» at BNTU.
Prof. Bashtovoi V., Head of UNESCO Chair is nominated as the BNTU Local coordinator.
By the present moment the BNTU Working team of the Project has been set up.
14 Universities from 9 countries of Europe, including the Belarussian National Technical University, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University from Belarus are participants of the Project.
Main goal of the Project is to develop training courses on the following directions: Distribution of power energy, Effective lightening, Energy effective materials, Energy saving technologies, Power electronics, Gas- and Hydrodynamics, Heat pumps, Hydrogen energy, Solar energy and photovoltaics, Wind energy. The developed courses are to be integrated into Europenian educational system.
The BNTU will participate in the development of training courses on Energy saving technologies, Hydrogen energy, Wind energy.
The Project also foresees organization of educational seminars for teachers, students and schoolboys on the above problems.
