Gennadij Palchonok, Cadidate of Science (Engineering) – associate professor.

Gennadij Palchonok graduated from the Faculty of Power Engineering, Department of Thermal Power Plants at the Byelorussian Polytechnical Institute (now Belarusian National Technical University.) in 1973.

1973-1976 – Design Engineer, All-Union R&D Institute for Industrial Power, the Byelorussian Section,Minsk.

1976-1980 - Post Graduate Student, A.V.Luikov Heat & Mass Transfer Institute (HMTI),

1980-1985 - Junior Research Scientist HMTI,

1985-1990 Research Scientist, HMTI,

1990-2009 Senior Research Scientist at the Laboratory of Dispersed Systems, A.V.Luikov Heat & Mass Transfer Institute, National Academyof Sciences of Belarus, Minsk, Belarus,

1989-2004 Visiting Scientist and Part-time Researcher at the Department of Energy Conversion, Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden.

Since 2009, he has worked at the Belarusian National Technical University.

Defended his candidate thesis in 1984.

1998 - Doctor of Phylosophy, Eng., Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.

He has held the academic status of Associate Professor since 2009.

Fields of scientific activity include: Heat and mass transfer and combustion phenomena in fluidized beds and particulate media. Biomass combustion/co-combustion and thermochemical conversion.

Author of more than 140 scientific publications and 10 patents.

He has received the best paper awards at the 14th (Vancouver, 1997, R&D Fundamentals topic area) and 15th (Savannah, 1999, Opportunity Fuels topic area) International Conferences on Fluidized Bed Combustion, ASME. Selected to be a reviewer for the 30th and 31st International Symposiums on Combustion Peer Review process.

Teaches courses in “Heat and Mass Transfer” and “Fuel and its conversion”, «Natural resourсes».
