Mikhail Krakov

Mikhail Krakov, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, Professor of UNESCO Chair “Energy Conservation and Renewable Energies” of the Belarussian National Technical University, Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
M. Krakov graduated from the Department of Physics at the Belarusian State University, Minsk, in 1974. From 1975 to 1982, he worked at the Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, Minsk. Since 1982 to 1987, he has worked at the Belarussian University of Technology, and then, till now, at the Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk.
Defended his candidate thesis “Surface Waves and Instabilities in Magnetizable Fluids” in 1980, and doctoral thesis “Hydrodynamics and Heat Transfer in Flows Past Bodies with Magnetofluid Coatings” in 1991. He has held the academic status of Professor since 1995.
Fields of scientific activity include: computer fluid dynamics and thermomechanics of magnetic fluids, magnetic fluid applications.
Has 155 scientific publications, including 25 patents, 5 monographs published in Russia, USA, Great Britain and Germany.
Two Ph.D. theses are defended under his supervision.
Invited Professor in Jaotong Beijing University.
